Energy and Emissions

Aiming to uncouple our growth from energy consumption and emissions, continually enhancing our productive efficiency.

100% renewable energy sources – I-REC certification;
Biomass-powered boiler, a renewable fuel: annual reduction of 3,300 tons of CO2, equivalent to planting 24,000 trees;
Bleaching using water reheating from the same process;
Partnership with Movida: carbon offset for the commercial fleet;
HOT MELT technology, producing no water vapors or VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) in microporous production;
GHG inventory.

Water

Committing to reduce our water footprint through initiatives that minimize consumption and improve the quality of discharged effluents.

Utilization of rainwater for sanitation;
The WaterJet technology in our Flexicotton plant circulates 27 m3/h of water, consuming only 7-10%, meaning over 90% is returned and reused;
Over 70% of the solvent used in adhesive and plaster applicator processes is reclaimed using activated carbon solvent recovery systems.

Waste

Strengthening our Waste Management with a focus on monitoring, reduction, and valorization of waste generated, emphasizing a circular economy and ensuring legal compliance at all management stages.

Recognition from KWM's Landfill Zero program for Viveo's FW company, recycling and reusing 100% of waste generated in their productions;
Active Waste Management Program in units subject to environmental licensing;
SMA Management Committee;
Standardized waste destination (industries) with MTR;
In 2021, Viveo recycled 2,258.86 tons of solid waste from its industrial plants.
